Motor bikes, footy and sore eyes!

sunny 34 °C

We started our day with another amazing buffet breakfast! Pretty much anything you want is on the menu. Reed went straight for a mango juice which unfortunately tasted off. No more than a minute or two later he bolted for the room, spewing in the middle of the path halfway. Liss coming a little late to brekkie found him on her way and directed him to the bushes. Reed has pretty much never thrown up in his life but in the last year he has had 2 beauties (cousin Caidens birthday will long live in the memories of the Parry families 🤣).
Don’t worry though once Reed finished decorating the path and bushes he sat down and polished his usual 4 plates!
Today we hired motor bikes and went exploring. This is an activity I always love, it always reminds me and Liss of my Dad in Raro one year we had a big family holiday there (Dad loved cruising around on the bikes). We headed out of town to some lotus farms, it was very pretty and nice to get in the country. We ended up in a small village, it was very cool to see! Some school kids were riding home for lunch, they were very well dressed and friendly. They all waved to us (I don’t think they see many white people, in the small towns).
We cruised back to town, along the way we spotted possibly the most loaded scooter we have seen so far! As anyone would know who has been to this part of the world, the locals can get a lot on their scooters. We have seen families of 4, fridges even a dining table but this guy was really not into 2 loads! (see photo, there is a man in the middle trying to hold it all on 😳).
After cruising town for a bit the heat got us and we went back to the hotel and headed straight to the pool 😎.
Liss swam and read her book, me and the boys played this cool game we invented. Basically ball tag with no rules, a lot of wrestling/dunking under water and laughter. The afternoon flew by and it was time to get ready and hit pub street for the state of origin! Unfortunately Jay had spent too much time in the pool and his eyes were bright red and sore from the chlorine. So Liss kindly stayed home with him, ordered room service and watched some crocodile wrestler show, while me and Reed hit town.
We went back to a restaurant we had been to a few days ago (the green curry was too good not to) then we found a busy pub with Australian and NZ flags out, perfect 👍.
Reed got to experience a lot of drunk Australians, there was banter, dancing when one or the other team scored and generally a lot of fun mixed in with about 100 F bombs and some old guys doing the YMCA dance for a long time.
Our team didn’t win but we had fun and Reed even got given a beer on his way out from one of the old blokes.
Back home and hit the pillow, another beautiful day on holiday 😎.
